A commode inspired by post-war design from the 1950s and 1960s. OPUS features drawers with notches placed in specific locations to allow for quick and smooth depositing of contents and a view into the drawers when they are closed. We are inspired by the idea of the sorting cabinets used by military postal services for organizing letters.
Connecting the traditional and the modern
The idea was to design a piece of furniture that merges the traditional with the modern. By traditional, we mean the original idea and aesthetic of the details, while by modern we mean a new and different way of use. All of this resulted in an authentic chest of drawers for the interior.
Design with a strong character
OPUS dresser drawers add character and recognizability. Drawers hold personal, important, and valuable items, which is why OPUS is designed so that small objects can be inserted through their opening without having to open them, while also allowing you to see what's inside.
Leather drawer bottom pads are available as an optional accessory.
