ALSET is an interactive ambient lamp inspired by the work and legacy of Nikola Tesla, the greatest scientist and inventor the world has ever seen, who illuminated civilization with his design of the electrical system. The name ALSET is actually an anagram of TESLA. In this way, we have symbolically named and paid tribute to his name through this lamp, because we want the memory of Tesla's irreplaceable gift without which we would not know the world as it is today to endure as long as possible.
Design Inspired by Human Behavior
The design and use of the ALSET lamp are human-centered, as it is inherently inspired by the natural movement of each of us. It is made with a sharp focus on being a functional product for every home. The way the ALSET light is turned on and off makes the lamp easier to use, because to operate it, you don't need to look for any switch on the cord or the lamp you simply turn it.
Rotate to Turn On
With a simple hand movement, i.e., by turning the lamp to either side, the light turns on and off. An extremely practical and intuitive solution that is entertaining, as it invites play. On the back of the lamp, there are graphic depictions of the "Sun" and the "Moon," which serve as a visual indicator of whether the light is on or off when the lamp is in an upright position, they are located on the top side. The dimensions of the ALSET are designed to fit the size of an average hand, while the weight of about 140 grams, as well as the smoothness and rounded edges, make holding it more pleasant.
