The task of industrial design is to simultaneously improve functionality, find innovative solutions, and unify all elements through a unique aesthetic expressed in form and materials. When all these factors merge into a single product and yield high practical value as the final result, we are talking about design that can be characterized as applied art. Artistic and engineering work with advanced ergonomic solutions that elevate comfort to an entirely new level are the epithets that accurately describe the NEO armchair.
Inspiration
Inspired by and dedicated to military pilots, as we were motivated during the design process by certain solutions from that advanced industry. The solutions relate to the technical details of the seat substructure, with the goal of bringing a more modern and comfortable chair to the market. This was achieved by incorporating foam of varying densities, most notably in the seat corners, which naturally follow and adapt to the shape of the body while seated.
Precision of technical solutions
The NEO armchair features a design where every detail has been uncompromisingly and precisely crafted to achieve an enviable level of comfort and aesthetics. The seat is designed and constructed from 8 mutually separated elements set at different inclines and angles to provide adequate support to the back, the lumbar region, and the legs around the knee area while seated.
Visually dynamic and full of character
This design of the NEO armchair's seat, along with the structure and shape of the legs, creates an overall airy effect, as it visually opens it up to the surrounding space while simultaneously giving it aesthetic dynamism. Sharp and straight lines create a striking and recognizable character, because our initial idea in the design process was for the NEO armchair to have a sculptural presence in the interior when not in use, thereby further enriching it.
