OD is a floor lamp that has a light source on the front side, features a thin metal structure, and enhances any interior it's placed in with its light.
Light creates reflection
The light is directed toward a wooden ellipse from which it is reflected into the space. The ellipse is positioned at a height of 2m from the floor, as this height has been determined to be the most efficient for light dispersion, as it can illuminate an area of up to 40 square meters.
The essence is minimalism
The OD lamp has a minimalist character and consists of only 3 elements. It is made of carefully bent metal tubes, where every angle is constructively functional and statically designed. The lamp is turned on and off via a touch-sensitive sensor switch, which can be used to adjust the desired light intensity.
Creation of an optical illusion
When the OD lamp is turned on, it creates the impression that the ellipse is "floating" in space, which is largely due to its slim metal construction. Tall floor lamps can disrupt the appearance of an interior design and be impractical due to their bulkiness, and this was also a key consideration in the design of the OD lamp.
