A solution tested by time
A commode inspired by post-war design from the 1950s and 1960s. OPUS features cabinet doors with slits placed in specific locations to allow for quick and smooth depositing of contents and a view inside the commode even when the doors are closed. The idea is directly inspired by the concept of sorting cabinets used by military postal services for organizing letters.
Inspired by the OPUS dresser
OPUS ONE is the second member of the OPUS chest of drawers family. It differs from the OPUS chest of drawers only in the way the storage space is organized, while its dimensions are identical. Instead of 3 drawers, it features a small door and a shelf inside the main body. You can optionally choose which side you want the door to open to (the photographs show it opening to the left).
Synergy of the Time Period
The idea was to design a piece of furniture that merges the traditional with the modern. By traditional, we mean the core concept, its aesthetic, and by modern, the new way of using it, which resulted in the design of a chest of drawers for the interior.
