The idea from nature
The appearance of the ARK armchair is inspired by the shape of the "Armadillo" animal's armor. The idea was to construct the seat of the armchair from multiple parts, allowing for the combination of different foam densities and firmness to achieve maximum comfort with the thinnest possible construction.
Multiplication of elements
ARK seat construction is designed from a single solid piece with 8 integrated elements featuring two different types of foam. The triangular side elements are lined with firm foam, while the trapezoidal seat and backrest elements are cushioned with softer memory foam. The strategic foam selection achieves better body contouring during sitting.
Ergonomics of sitting
ARK falls into the category of higher armchairs, with a seat height of 46 cm. This seat height necessitated a greater backrest inclination to achieve additional comfort during prolonged sitting.
Duplo is both better and more beautiful
The double legs regarding the final aesthetics give the armchair a transparent appearance, however, they primarily increase durability regarding weights of over 130 kilograms. The double legs provide additional strength to the construction and statics. The inspiration for such a look of the legs was a telescope tripod.
